Cuebook Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy (this "Policy") describes how cuebook.app ("Cuebook," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Cuebook mobile applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
Cuebook is a pre-trade cognition network: you discover sourced market narratives, frame your own market views, and pressure-test them through simulation. All trading on the Service is simulated; we do not execute real-money trades on your behalf, and nothing on the Service is investment advice.
By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. This Policy forms part of our Terms of Use; capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Use.
1. Information We Collect
(a) Account and identity. We use Privy, a third-party identity provider, to handle authentication. When you sign up or sign in, Privy manages your login method (for example, an email address, Google account, passkey, or wallet) and provisions a self-custodial embedded wallet for you. We receive and store the account identifiers we need on our own servers, including your Privy user identifier, the email address you provide, and your embedded wallet address. If you choose to link a third-party account (such as an X account), we store the corresponding public account identifier.
(b) Profile. Information you add to your profile, such as a handle, a display name, and an avatar image you upload.
(c) Activity and content. Your interactions with the Service: the narratives you view, the views you frame, the simulated long/short positions and invalidation points you set, your simulated fills and positions, the settlement outcomes that build your simulated record, and the comments, predictions, follows, bookmarks, and watchlists you create.
(d) Payments. If you purchase a paid service, payment is made over blockchain networks. We record what is needed to confirm and reconcile the payment: wallet address, transaction reference, amount, and timestamp. We do not collect or store card numbers or bank account details.
(e) Device, approximate location, and diagnostic data. Technical data used to operate, analyze, and secure the Service, such as device model and type, operating-system version, app version and build, language and locale, time zone, screen dimensions, whether the app is running in an emulator, and error logs and diagnostic data. For limited mobile product analytics, we also process a random analytics device identifier linked to our internal account identifier and use the event request's IP address to infer approximate country, region, city, postal code, and coordinates. This does not use GPS and does not request precise-location permission.
(f) Communications. If you contact us, we keep your messages and contact details so we can respond and follow up.
We do not ask for — and ask that you do not submit through the Service — sensitive personal information such as government identification numbers or bank card numbers.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- authenticate you and keep your account secure;
- personalize the narratives and content you see;
- confirm and reconcile payments for paid services;
- generate and maintain your simulated record and reputation history;
- respond to your requests and provide support;
- detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues;
- analyze and improve the features and experience of the Service; and
- comply with legal obligations and exercise or defend our legal rights.
3. AI and Automated Processing
Cuebook uses artificial intelligence to synthesize sourced market narratives from a controlled, internal event corpus. We do not use your personal content to train foundation models. To generate and rank narratives, we may send controlled event text (not your private account data) to third-party AI providers, and the related prompts and completions may be logged in our own observability tooling to monitor quality and safety.
The Service also includes automated participants operated by our systems; their activity (viewing, commenting, simulated positions, and similar) is likewise recorded and processed as operational data of the Service.
Cuebook does not provide investment advice, and all positions on the Service are simulated.
4. Information That Is Public
The Service has a community dimension. Your handle, display name, and avatar, and the comments, predictions, and views you post publicly — together with your visible simulated record (including settlement outcomes and reputation data) — may be visible to other users of the Service and may be shared beyond the Service through sharing features. Please consider carefully what you post. We are not responsible for others viewing, copying, or using information you choose to make public.
5. Blockchain Data
If you use on-chain payments, the related transactions — including your wallet address, transaction amount, and transaction hash — are recorded on public blockchains. Public blockchains are operated by distributed networks outside our control; on-chain records are public, globally visible, and generally cannot be modified or deleted. We are unable to change or remove any on-chain data. By using on-chain payments you acknowledge and accept these characteristics.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as described here:
- Service providers (processors) that process data on our behalf under contract, including our identity and embedded-wallet provider (Privy), product-analytics provider (PostHog), cloud infrastructure and storage providers, third-party AI providers (for narrative synthesis and ranking), error-monitoring and observability providers, and infrastructure needed to confirm on-chain payments. Public market-data sources supply market information to us and do not receive your personal data.
- Legal and safety, when required by law, regulation, or legal process, or as necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Cuebook, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case your information may be transferred as part of the transaction subject to this Policy.
- At your direction or with your consent, including where you actively use sharing features.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and afterward as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Records that power settlement and reputation are stored on an append-only basis and form part of your simulated record; the integrity of those records underpins the Service's reputation system, so they are generally not removed upon account deletion, though we will anonymize personal identifiers within them where reasonably practicable. When we no longer need personal data, we delete or anonymize it.
8. Security
We protect your information with safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and other technical and organizational measures. Your embedded wallet is self-custodial: keep your login credentials and recovery methods safe, as losing them may make the wallet unrecoverable. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot and do not promise absolute security.
9. International Transfers
We operate globally, and your information may be processed and stored in countries other than where you live. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable law to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to restrict or object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, or to request deletion of your account and associated data, email us at info@cuebook.app from your account email address. To protect your data, we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.
Please note the following practical limits: (a) append-only records described in Section 7 are handled as described there; (b) public blockchain data described in Section 5 is outside our control and cannot be modified or deleted by us; and (c) information we must retain to comply with legal obligations cannot be deleted during the required retention period.
You can also: edit your profile in the app; manage app permissions through your device settings; and stop using the Service at any time.
11. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our websites and apps use a small number of cookies and local-storage technologies to keep you signed in, remember your language preference, maintain security, and store the mobile analytics identifier described above. We do not use third-party advertising cookies and do not engage in cross-site ad tracking. You can manage cookies through your browser or device settings, but disabling essential storage may affect the normal operation of the Service.
12. Children
Cuebook is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services (including social platforms and blockchain explorers) and relies on third-party services to operate (including identity providers, app distribution platforms, and blockchain networks). Third parties process information under their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any third-party service before using it.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date; for material changes, we will provide additional notice by reasonable means (such as an in-app notice). Your continued use of the Service after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Policy.
15. Language
This Policy is drafted in English; the Chinese translation is provided for reference only. In the event of any inconsistency, the English version controls.
